Giancarlo Alhadeff was born on 21 September, 1950 in Alexandria, Egypt. Nowadays he is the citizen of Italy. He studied at St. Mary's International School (Tokyo, Japan), St. George's School, Harvard College, Columbia School of Architecture and Columbia University.

In 1991 Giancarlo Alhadeff established his own Studio Alhadeff Architects, dedicated to design with an international point of view. From its inception, the Studio has carried out design projects in the USA, UK, Japan, and the Far and Middle East. It has realized projects in a variety of architectural sectors, true to the multifaceted nature of its founder. These include new buildings such as hotels and fitness centers; restoration of existing structures including those recognized for their artistic and historic value; commercial and private interior design, including high visibility, high fashion boutiques, offices, showrooms, shopping centers, restaurants as well as private residences.
Studio Alhadeff Architects engages the services of consultants demonstrating the highest level of expertise in structural and mechanical engineering, lighting and landscape design.
